Kylie is fans’ Darling - Feb 9 2007 Pop princess Kylie Minogue was all smiles as she launched her new perfume at Harrods today.
The Aussie singer signed bottles of the fragrance, Darling, for fans.
Many had braved the freezing temperatures and spent all night on the pavement outside the Knightsbridge, London, department store to be sure of meeting the diminutive star.
A Harrods spokesman said: "Some of them were here before midnight and queued all night. It shows how loved she is by her fans."
Kylie, 38, wore a black cocktail dress and diamond drop earrings for the signing.
Earlier this week she attended the opening of an exhibition of her costumes at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.
The singer is determined to put on a brave face after announcing her split from boyfriend Olivier Martinez. Kylie and the French actor announced their split last week.
A joint statement released on behalf of the pair said the decision to separate was mutual and added they remained "very close friends". Cheers for Kylie at exhibition - Feb 7 2007 Kylie Minogue was cheered as she arrived for at the Victoria and Albert Museum for a private viewing of an exhibition of her changing image on Tuesday.
She neatly side-stepped questions about the break-up of her relationship with Olivier Martinez, saying her "friend" had wished her well.
Wearing a purple backless and sleeveless gown with silver earrings, necklace and shoes, she smiled and posed for photographs before signing autographs for overjoyed fans.
Asked how she was feeling, the star told reporters: "I’m here tonight, it’s all good."
Kylie spoke of her shock at seeing the exhibition in the V&A for the first time.
She joked that it was "a long way from Ramsay Street", where Neighbours was set.
The singer said: "I was actually speechless. It was a very strange feeling. I was so honoured and overwhelmed."
Asked whether the exhibition of her dresses was art, Kylie said: "Art is what you like or what you don’t like."
Hundreds of fans waited patiently outside the V&A in the cold for a glimpse of the diminutive star.
They stood alongside several film crews and scores of photographers, many of them perched on stepladders for a better view.
Once inside the museum, whose front had been lit up in pink, Kylie gave a short speech welcoming the guests to the exhibition.
To loud cheers, she said: "Thank you to the V&A for this incredible, incredible honour.
"I can’t believe there are disco balls and glitter at the V&A, but I for one think it looks fabulous. Have a great night." Kylie faces up to changing image - Feb 6 2007 Kylie Minogue will put on a brave face when she attends an exhibition dedicated to her changing image tonight.
