Liz to design wedding dresses? - April 18 2007 Liz Hurley has just had the showbiz marriage of the year, and it seems it’s given her a new business idea - she wants to design wedding dresses.
The brunette model, who tied the knot with business tycoon Arun Nayar in lavish celebrations in the UK and in India, hopes to create a line of stunning dresses with Donatella Versace, reports the Daily Star.
And it sounds as if the Bedazzled beauty has already come up with some ideas for the gowns.
"These will be dresses for the sexy bride," an insider told the paper.
Liz is no stranger to design, having started her own company, Elizabeth Hurley Beach in 2005. The clothing firm features elegant beachwear such as sarongs, bikinis, kaftans, hats and bags.
A successful model, Liz has also been the face and spokesperson for cosmetics giant Estee Lauder and clothing chain Monsoon. Born on June 10 1965, in Hampshire, England, Elizabeth Hurley is the daughter of an army officer and an elementary schoolteacher mother.
At 21, Hurley got her first film role in the 1987 film Aria after having attended the London Studio Centre on scholarship. Hurley’s role in the film Remando al Viento that same year could be considered a crucial one, as it also starred her future boyfriend Hugh Grant.
However, despite acting and modelling jobs it was a certain safety pinned Versace frock that made Liz on of Britain’s most famous faces.
